ABLE Human Motion is a medical device start-up based in Barcelona that was born with a clear mission : enabling mobility for everyone . The brand designs , develops and commercialises innovative exoskeleton technology to improve the mobility and independence of people with physical disabilities .
ABLE Human Motion was founded in October 2018 , after several years of R & D by the Biomechanical Engineering Lab of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya ( UPC ). It has ongoing partnerships with more than 30 leading clinical institutions , corporates , patient associations and distributors , and is currently positioned among the most promising medical device start-ups in Europe . It is recognised as the Best European Robotics Startup and Innovator Under 35 by MIT Technology Review .
