Sateliot Barcelona facility links European 5G research and satellite deployment Sateliot intends the Barcelona site to act as a single location for satellite verification and mission operations. The clean room will host assembly and integration for upcoming platforms. Testing suites within the centre will verify systems against the exact specifications applied across terrestrial mobile networks. The mission control room will support operations during the deployment of the new constellation.
The operator positions the project within broader European efforts to strengthen technical capability in satellite connectivity aligned with 3GPP standards. Support from Catalonia, Spain and EU institutions presents the facility as a point of collaboration on technology and operations.
