What’ s next for US technology There has been a clear tonal shift between Trump and big tech. The technology world is now eager to work closely with Trump, following several years of a fraught relationship as the two criticised each other.
As his presidency gets well underway, it is clear there will be plenty of successes by way of technology investments. The US has been eager to ensure that the swelling AI industry is able to build training models and greater infrastructure nationwide.
AI is continuing to have an irreversible impact on key industries like healthcare, transport and education. Speaking in January 2025, in response to former President Joe Biden’ s executive order to develop AI data centres, the White House stated that building AI infrastructure in the US is a“ national security imperative”, as the growth of AI is inevitably starting to impact the lives and security of Americans.
